Rental FAQs? click here. What is dooGallery? It is gallery that lets new and upcoming artists to show their art. 3/4 of the gallery is an open space for all art mediums to be displayed. The other 1/4 is my personal living space. The gallery is my latest project where I can combine my love of art and a great way to meet new people. Who is dooG? My real name is Douglas Becker. For years my friends have called me Doog. I like art & I like to meet others who do to. I work for a trade show called Surf Expo (link). I travel often for my job and when I come home I enjoy having people over to my house. I'm a transplanted and landlocked surfer/snowboarder from Michigan. I'm a SWM, Cancer, non smoker, who enjoys movies, social drinking, alternative sports, fun & laughter, and romantic walks on the beach. Can anyone submit art? Yes. During any Art Party that the gallery hosts, any artist can show their art or photos. I believe in a showing all sorts of different styles from different artists. Not everyone will enjoy a particular style of art, so that's why I want to show more. If I am looking for a specific style or genre of art I'll announce that, otherwise anything goes. If the gallery was rented by an artist or promoter, they decide what will be shown. Where are you located? click here for directions & a map. What is your alcohol Policy? We do not have a license to sell alcohol. We like to share ours with our guests, that are of age. It is OK to BYO but do not bring any bottles. If you do BYO you have to give it to the bartender, he will only serve them to you. You must tip the bartender $10 for this service. Why? I do not want the problems, & mess that occurs when patrons store &/or serve their own alcohol. What is your smoking Policy? Don't do it in the gallery. If you want to commit a slow roasted suicide, you can do so outside. Please put your butts in an ashtray. What is your minor & age Policy? For almost every event you must be 21 to enter. Only on special occasions, younger adults and kids may enter. If the event is an all ages show, one Parent must accompany his/her child. That child may bring 3 friends. So, 1 adult must chaperon 4 kids. Again, one of the kids must be the Parents child. That adult may not consume alcohol if it is available. Any more questions? Please email them to doog@doogallery.com
